Do I need an Electric Pool Heater or
an Electric Pool Heat Pump? What is the difference between an electric pool heater and an electric pool heat pump? If you landed on this page it's because you probably did a search for "Electric Pool Heater", or "Electric Pool Heat Pump". We thought that these two terms can be confusing, so we decided to first explain them a little bit more: Electric pool heaters and pool
heat pumps run with electricity. Electric element heaters are also known as tank less heaters. They cost up to 5 or 6 times more to run than a heat pump but are usually less expensive to buy initially and are convenient for spas because they don't take up much space and can be put indoors. They cost too much to run to heat a pool though. Some people use them or gas heaters for indoor pools in cold weather states in the winter and a heat pump in the warmer months to get the most savings. There is more to learn about each one. So please follow the links below or enter our index page by clicking below. We will also love to hear from you at 1 800 741 9956 to help you size your pool heater or if you have any other questions. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
